4 Managing the Lync topology
The Lync topology is based on the IMC Enterprise and Standard platform topology and provides the
following functions:
• Inter-site topology—Displays logical connections among Lync sites.
• Intra-site topology—Displays logical connections between Lync Servers and networking devices in
a single site.
Operators can view the topology details and perform basic operations.
Accessing the Lync topology page
1. Click the Service tab.
2. From the navigation tree, select UC Health Manager > Lync Topology.
The Lync Topology page appears, as shown in
Figure 24 . It includes the following elements:
• Cloud—Network between Lync sites.
• Site—Lync Server site created for Lync Server devices that are located on the same local area
network.
• Link—Link that connects sites or networks.

Each Lync topology page includes a toolbar on the top. Table 17 shows the description of the toolbar
icons.
