KARRERA — Installation & Service Manual
Section 3 — Frames Installation
Door Removal Clearance
CAUTION Mounting a Karrera Frame in a rack immediately below equipment that
extends forward from the rack may not provide enough clearance to com-
pletely remove the Karrera door.
The Karrera Frame door should be able to be completely removed when
installed in a rack immediately below conventional flush mounted rack-ear
only equipment. If the chassis is mounted immediately below equipment
that extends forward from the rack (for example, under another Karrera
Frame), extra space must be reserved to be able to remove the front door.
•
For the 8-RU Frame 23.7 mm (0.93-in.) of vertical clearance is required
to completely remove the door.
•
For the 4-RU Frame 7.7 mm (0.3 in.) of vertical clearance is required to
completely remove the door.
A flush design 1 RU blank filler panel can be used for clearance, if required.
