Creating a Share
To create a share, choose
Storage | Shares | Create
. The Export File System
as Share window appears. Though you can create a file system as shared, you
can also export a file system as a share after it is in use.
1. Choose a
file system
. In the list of file systems, click on the file system you
want to export.
2. To specify the type of share to export, check the box next to one or both of
these file systems:

NFS
: Network File System is used in Unix systems.
-
CIFS
: Common Internet File System is used in Windows systems. This is
the default.
3. Click
Next
to proceed to the next Create Share page.
CIFS Share
If you choose to export a file system as a CIFS share, the CIFS Share window
appears. Refer to “CIFS Share” on page 63.
NOTE: A file system can have multiple CIFS shares.
