Pulling Media Files from a Profile Server
If you use a Profile Server as part of your news production system, you can
obtain media files from Media Manager or ContentShare Explorer.
To pull files from Media Manager or ContentShare Explorer:
1. Verify that NewsEdit LT is configured to work with a Profile server.
See “To set up a Profile server as a send location:” on page 47 for
instructions on connecting a NewsEdit LT workstation to a Profile server.
2. Open the Media Manager or ContentShare Explorer application.
3. Place the new window over the top of the NewsEdit LT application.
4. Select the clip you want in Media Manager or ContentShare Explorer.
5. Drag the clip from into the desired NewsEdit LT bin.
The clip appears in your Bin as a red clip, ready for you to use in a sequence.
