Connecting Network Devices
The Profile Video File Server supports connection to Ethernet and Fibre Channel
networks.
Connecting Fibre Channel
If the Fibre Channel board is installed, there are a number of ways it may be connected
for networking. Profile Video Networking requires both a Fibre Channel network and
an Ethernet network. See Chapter 4, “Networking Your Profile System”, for Fibre
Channel connection information.
Connecting to Ethernet
The Profile Video File Server provides a standard RJ45 connector on the System CPU
board for connecting to 10/100BASE-T Ethernet networks. See Chapter 4,
“Networking Your Profile System”, for more Ethernet connection information.
