Connecting to the IR control connector

The following functions can be used when this unit is connected to a Denon amplifier.

Controlling the amplifier through this unit using the HEOS app.

Controlling the amplifier through this unit, using the TV remote control

(HDMI control function).

When this unit is turned on using the HEOS app or TV remote control

(HDMI control function), the amplifier turns on and the input source of

the amplifier switches to “EXT.PRE” or “NETWORK.”

When “Line Out Level” is set to “Variable” in the setting menu, the amplifier

input source will switch to “EXT.PRE”. When “Fixed” is set, the amplifier input

source will switch to “NETWORK” (NETWORK/AUX). (

When “Power On Link” is set to “Off” in the setting menu, the amplifier power

will not turn on automatically even when this unit is turned on. (

Connection

Use the supplied IR control cable to connect the IR CONTROL OUT

connector of this unit to IR CONTROL IN connector of the amplifier.

Only the Denon amplifier which are equipped rear panel with IR CONTROL or

REMOTE CONTROL connector can be connected.

It may not be possible to control the volume with the TV remote control (HDMI

control function) depending on the Denon amplifier and TV connected to this unit.
