process, all of the following files are automatically configured. Use these
instructions to verify that all files are customized appropriately for any
hardware changes, hostnames or IP addresses that were made.

/.rhosts

- Editing this file allows root access to other systems.

Root permissions are required to edit many of the configuration files
described in this section. It is very handy to allow root access to all
systems so it’s easy to use remsh to access each of them. A copy of
this file is on each system.

Optionally, you may choose to remove this file from each system to
disallow root access from other systems.

/etc/X11/X0screens

- Edit the X0screens file on the MASTER

ONLY!

— There is a sample X0screens file template for each supported

hardware configuration. Use these templates to create the

/etc/X11/X0screens

file to be used to configure the X server.

For example, if you had an 8-pipe, two channel system (18
workstations displaying to two monitors):

To replace the existing X0screens file on the master system:

cd /usr/lib/X11/xserver/misc/slsd/templates

cp X0screens.p8c2 /etc/X11/X0screens

— Edit the file to change hostname and IP addresses. Add or

remove comment delimiters (#) to enable the desired screen
options or environment variables.

— See

/usr/lib/X11/Xserver/info/screens/hp

for general

X0screens syntax that is not hp visualization center sv6-specific.
