Network

Channel

Pull-down menu to select the channel number for
networked recorders. The channel number for all
networked recorders must be the same. A recorder
connected to the network will not be affected by commands
sent by one with a different channel number. You could
have two HDRs in your A room assigned to one channel,
two in your B room assigned to a different channel, and all
four connected to the same server for file backup.

48-Track

Mode

When using the Remote 48 with two recorders, this pull-
down menu selects whether the recorder is the Master
(Tracks 1-24) or Slave (Tracks 25-48). Select OFF when
not using a Remote 48.
These select the information that is transmitted to other
recorders on the same MDS network channel, and
simultaneously, what information is accepted from other
recorders on the channel. Any unchecked option will
neither be sent nor received.

Auto
Locator

When linked, duplicates all LOC, Cue, and
Remote 48 LOCATE commands between
networked recorders.

Project
Save

When linked, whenever the open project is
saved on one recorder, a Project Save
command is automatically performed on
networked recorders.

Preferences

When linked, general preferences used
when a new project is opened are sent to
networked controllers.

Link

Options

Editing

When linked, the I-Beam selection area
beginning and end times on one recorder are
sent to the networked recorders. This
simplifies cut, copy, and paste operations on
tracks spanning networked recorders.
NOTE that the actual edit operation must be
performed on each recorder individually.

Update

Click this button to transmit information contained in the
checked Link Options to other recorders on the MDS
Network. Use it if you’ve made a change to the linked
options mid-project.

This submenu displays the type of card installed in each I/O slot, and

displays options for each card for which there are options available. Cards

can be mixed, all slots may not have the same options.
