9-2 What operation of command transmission for PJ power with parallel input?

By using the parallel port of X700P and an external switch, PJ’s Power On/Standby can be
controlled.
However, X700P’s condition for power control command needs to be noted, as follows.

is applied to an external switch, control command is sent as follows.

The latch is desired to control
PJ power via PIO.

Wait Time

Interval is longer than Wait Time (for
example 2-3 minutes), then projector will
switched status correctly.

This is related to Wait Time being set up manually on Manager GUI, or automatically in X700P.

Many current projectors have an amount of time (from some ten seconds to a few minutes)
just after power on/standby, when it does not receive any control commands.
Therefore, X700P is designed not to send any control command to the projector during
this time, This is “Wait Time”.

Input No.1 is connected to an external switch named ‘PJ Power On’.
Basically, the X700P sends Power On command to PJ when the switch is turned on (make contact
of X700P is closed), and sends Power Standby command to the PJ when the switch is turned off
(make contact of X700P is unclosed).

This is explained based on following setup assumption.

The Wait Time is set up manually for projectors being
set up on User Define Screen of Manager GUI, or is
automatically set up for registered projectors on
PROJECTOR PROTOCOL setup box on REMOTE
Screen of the GUI by seeing ACK command from the
projector. Its length depends on each PJ’s specification.
