Remote

Connection between Sony ’s AV devices and SRP-X700P

AV devices can be controlled with a supplied GUI of USER CONTROL PANEL, connection and setup

are as follows.

To select VPL-PX40 on PROJECTOR CONTROL box,
this makes I/F TYPE set RS-232C automatically.

In the connection above, IR type (VM -50) is used for machine control of DVD, VHS and Cassette deck.
Wired connection for MDS-E10 which is equipped with CTRL-S(wired) input.

NOTE 1:

A single VM -50 is supplied with the X700P, it will be necessary to order fu rther VM-50’s for

each unit to be controlled via IR.

NOTE 2:

Please refer to Operation Manual

(page 13) for adequate setup of VM -50.

Due to connection above, IR type (VM -50) is used for
DVD, VHS and Cassette deck. Wired (mini jack - mini
jack) connection for MDS-E10. CTRL-S OUTPUT CH is
set due to one above.

NOTE:

Until version 1.20 for Manager GUI and

Firmware, the Sony Cassette Deck is not applied to the
CTRL-S. Version 1.30 of the Manager and Firmware
will incorporate the Sony’s cassette deck control in
CTRL-S. The version 1.30 will be released in Oct. 2003.

Due to connection on previous page, VIDEO
(composite) is set on SIGNAL DEFINE box of
4A to 4C on this SCREEN.
Also RGB is set on the boxes of 4D to 4F.
(Component and S VIDO is set as previously
explained if those are available in the system.)

According to this setup, the X700P sends control
command to VPL-PX40 when the AV/PC devices
are selected with the Selector on both front panel
and USER CONTROL PANEL.
