9-3 What power consumption at maximum power?

9-4 The gain reduction with ‘NOM (Number of Open Mic)’, on the X700P, does
the gain jump 3dB at each stage?

Yes, it reduces gain of 3dB for each stage becoming double number of input channel that
receives mic signal.

Followings show gain reduction of each input, in NOM mode of the SRP-X700P/2.
When gate of 1 channel opened: 0dB
When gate of 2 channels opened : -3dB
When gate of 3 channels opened : -4.8dB
When gate of 4 channels opened : -6dB
When gate of 5 channels opened : -7dB
When gate of 6 channels opened : -7.8dB

In case the X700P outputs maximal power (200W + 200W at 4-ohm) with sine wave, the
power consumption is approximately 660W.

9-4 Can combination type of VCR be applied to machine control of X700P?

The SRP-X700P incorporates Sony’s CTRL-S (wired connection) ports to control Sony’s
AV devices.
These types of players, such as DVD+VHS, CD+CD-R, are not supported by the SRP-
X700P to avoid improper connection and setup, since these devices need complicated setup
for CTRL-S control.

Up to Version 1.20, following Sony’s categories or products are available in the CTRL-S of
X700P. Those products that need to be equipped with CTRL-S port or Infrared sensor for
remote control.
