INSTALL THE SUCTION BRACKET
Position the suction bracket assembly in the desired
installation location. Consider locating the suction
assembly on a piece of 2x6 if needed to provide better
clearance with the finished basin material. The
center of the suction cover must be located between
2Ć1/2 and 3Ć1/2Ćinches up from the estimated finished
floor surface. Do not secure the suction bracket
assembly in place at this time.
NOTE: Water drainage of the entire Custom
BodySpa system occurs through the suction assembly.
Do not use flexible tubing for the suction line. Use
straight sections of rigid PVC tubing and at most one
additional elbow or fitting if needed. Always
maintain a minimum 1/4Ćinch per foot pitch toward
the suction assembly when measuring and
connecting the piping. Do not use elbows to change
the vertical direction of the tubing.
Measure and cut a length of 1Ć1/2Ćinch (I.D.) rigid
PVC tubing to connect the suction housing to the
pump inlet. Do not solvent weld the PVC connections
at this time. Use a level and measuring tape to ensure
a minimum 1/4Ćinch per foot pitch toward the
suction fitting to provide adequate drainage.
NOTE: Refer to the minimum waterline height
information on the side of the pump box to determine
the maximum pump box height.
If the suction line does not provide the necessary
1/4Ćinch per foot pitch, shim under the pump box to
raise the pump box slightly to achieve the correct
pitch. Then remove the four drywall screws from the
mounting frame, and raise the mounting frame the
same distance you raised the pump box. ReĆinstall
the four drywall screws, and tighten securely.
NOTE: If you raise the pump box and tower height,
you must also plan to increase the footbath basin
minimum water level accordingly. This will increase
the threshold height and minimum 9Ćinch water
depth. Failure to do so will prevent the pump from
priming.
Install the remaining six drywall screws to the
mounting frame, and tighten securely.

- Suction bracket assembly is positioned.
- Rigid 1Ć1/2Ćinch (i.d.) pvc tubing measured, cut, and fit, but not
solvent welded.
- Waterline height confirmed using the label on the pump box.
- Minimum pitch of 1/4Ćinch per foot from pump inlet connection to
suction housing.
- Tower mounting frame is permanently secured.
