Field Calibration
Executing Field Calibration
Field Calibration on this unit is carried out using the Polygon Editing Tool Software. After the assembly of the
Field Calibration System has been completed and the unit connected to a PC and powered on, it will be neces-
sary to start up the Polygon Editing Tool software.

• Prevent foreign matter from getting into the “Calibration Area”. When executing Field Calibration, do not allow
workers into the area. It may result in incorrect calibration.
• Be careful to block incident light from the outside. Execute Field Calibration under fluorescent light at less than
500lx.
• Prevent light from windows.
For details, refer to page 13, in the Polygon Editing Tool Instruction Manual.
[Procedure]
1 At the [File] menu, click [Select Digitizer].
2 Select [VIVID9i (VI-9i)], and click [OK].

ote
If you change the selection from one digitizer to another at
this dialog, the newly selected digitizer cannot be used until
you start the software again.
3 At the [File] menu, click [Exit] to close the software. Then start the software again.

You can skip this step if “none” was originally selected when you opened the Select Digitizer dialog at Step 2
above.
