Automatic dialing mode setting

When the power cord is connected, the unit will start detecting the dialing mode.

Display:

Wait until one of the following messages is displayed.

—If your line has touch tone service, the unit will display the following message.

—If your line has rotary pulse dial service, the unit will display the following message.

If you connect the power cord before connecting the telephone line cord, the following messages will be
shown alternately.

Connect the telephone line cord.

If the power cord is disconnected or a power failure occurs, the unit will detect the dialing mode again when
power is restored.

You can change the dialing mode setting manually. See “Setting the dialing mode” on page 46.

MFG. CO.), SUPER MAX (PANAMAX) or MP1 (ITW LINX).

When you operate this product, the power outlet should be near the product and easily accessible.

If the following message is displayed when the unit is plugged in, the recording paper set lever is released.
