Detailed Recording Steps

1 Attach a power source to the
camcorder.
Detailed Instructions for attaching the
adapter/charger, battery, or optional
DC car cords are on pages 20-25.
2 Prepare the camcorder to record.
A. Press and hold the small button on
the POWER switch while sliding it
to the CAMERA position.
B. Insert a cassette.
1. Slide and release the EJECT
button to open the cassette door.
2. Insert a cassette as shown on
page 27. Insert the cassette only
one way with the record-protect
tab facing up and the tape
window facing out.
3. Gently close the cassette door
with your hand. The camcorder
will automatically close the top
of the cassette compartment. Do
not push the top down or you
may damage your camcorder.
C. Place the FULL AUTO OFF/ON
switch in the ON position.
D. Remove the lens cap and attach it to
the lens cap holder on the hand
strap.
