1. Slide the camcorder’s POWER switch

to the VCR position.

2. Insert the tape you want to dub on,

press the PLAY button, and locate a
place on the tape a few seconds before
where you want the dubbing to begin.

3. Press the PAUSE button exactly where

you want to begin dubbing to place
the camcorder in the play-pause mode.

4. Press and hold the A/V DUB button,

and then press the PLAY button on the
remote control to place the camcorder
in the AV dub-pause mode.

5. Place the tape you want to dub from in

the VCR, locate the part you want to
dub, and place the VCR in the play-
pause mode.

6. Start the VCR playing, and then press

the PAUSE button on the camcorder to
start dubbing.

7. Press the STOP button on the

camcorder where you want the
dubbing to stop.

8. If you want to stop dubbing at a

certain point on the tape, turn on the
camcorder’s memory-stop feature.
Set the time counter to “0:00:00M” at
the point where you want the dubbing
to stop. The camcorder will
automatically stop dubbing when it
reaches “0:00:00M”.

Notes: You can record new audio and video
from the camcorder’s built-in microphone and
camera. Remove the audio/video input cable
from the camcorder. Follow steps 1 through 4
above, and then press the PAUSE button to
start dubbing. To stop dubbing, press the
STOP button.

The corresponding buttons on the remote
control can also be used to operate the
camcorder.

The camcorder will automatically enter the
stop mode to prevent excessive tape wear if it
remains in the dub-pause mode for more than
five minutes.

Installation

1 Attach the audio/video input cable’s

white plug to the AUDIO OUT jack of
the VCR.

Note: If your VCR has stereo left and
right AUDIO OUT jacks, attach the plug to
the one labeled MONO. If one of the jacks
is not labeled MONO, you may need a
Y-adapter to record both channels.

2 Attach the audio/video input cable’s

yellow plug to the VIDEO OUT jack
on the VCR.

3 Attach the plug on the other end of the

audio/video input cable to the AV
IN/OUT
connector located behind the
small cover on the front of the
camcorder. (Match the tabs on the
plug with the notches on the
camcorder connector. Do not force
the plug.)
