Fading In and Out of Scenes

You can add a professional touch to your
recordings when you fade in and out of
scenes. Both the picture and sound will

gradually appear or disappear. The speed
of the fade is automatically controlled by
the camcorder.

Fading In

When you fade into a scene, the
recording will start with a blank screen,
and the picture and sound will gradually
appear.

1. Place the camcorder in the record-

pause mode.

2. Press and hold the FADE button, then

press the thumb trigger to start
recording.

3. Release the FADE button after a few

seconds. The picture and sound will
gradually appear in place of the blank
screen.

Fading Out

When you fade out of a scene, the picture
and sound will gradually disappear.

1. While the camcorder is recording,

press and hold the FADE button. The
picture and sound will gradually
disappear from the screen.

2. Continue to hold the FADE button,

and press the thumb trigger to stop
recording.

3. When the camcorder has stopped

recording, release the FADE button.
The camcorder will return to normal
operation.
