Turning the Power On and Off

Turn the power off.

Disconnect all cables from the CD-2e.

Turn the CD-2e upside down and remove the battery cover.

* When turning the CD-2e upside down, place stacks of newspapers or magazines to support the

four corners (or two sides) so that stress is not placed on the buttons or knobs, possibly damaging
them. Also, handle the CD-2e with care, and avoid dropping it.

Install six AA alkaline batteries.

Close the battery cover and turn the CD-2e right side up.

On the CD-2e’s rear panel, set the [POWER] switch to the “ON” position.

When the power is turned on, the screen will light.

Using Batteries

If you’re operating the CD-2e on batteries, you won’t be able to perform CD-related
operations such as recording, playing, or writing songs, etc.

Note

Batteries to use

AA alkaline batteries

* You cannot use zinc-carbon batteries or rechargeable batteries (such as
rechargeable nickel metal hydride batteries).

Battery cover

Press here and pull upward.

* Make sure that the “ ” and “ ” are oriented correctly.
