Troubleshooting
Problem Suggeston
The messages on
the system are very
difficult to hear.
• Press the UP NavKey on the handset or on the telephone base to ncrease the speaker
volume.
The answering
system does not
respond to remote
commands.
• Make sure your remote access code s correct (see page 57).
• Make sure you are callng from a touch-tone telephone. When dalng a number, you should
hear tones. If you hear clcks, then t s not a touch-tone telephone and cannot actvate the
answerng system.
• The answerng system may not detect the remote access code when your announcement s
playng. Wat untl the announcement s over before enterng the code.
• There may be interference on the telephone line you are using. Press the dial pad keys firmly
when dalng.
I am having trouble
using the voice mail
feature.
Make sure that your voce mal access telephone number and PIN or password (f necessary)
are correctly programmed nto the telephone base (see page 45).
Make sure that the voce mal codes (play, stop, and repeat) are correctly programmed nto
the telephone base (see page 46).
Refer to your voce mal documentaton for a complete lst of voce mal codes.
