The cursor

Creating a new phone book entry
Phone book entres are unque to each handset and telephone base.
To create a new phone book entry:
Using a handset
1. Press
MENU/SEL when the handset s n dle mode,
then press
MENU/SEL to enter the Phone Book menu.
2. Press the
NEW softkey to create a new phone book entry.
3. Enter the name (up
to 16 characters) by usng the dal pad (0-9).
See the chart below.
• Each tme a dal key s pressed, the characters on that key wll be dsplayed n the hghlghted
character n the order of the number of key presses. For nstance, for the letter
a, press the 2
dial pad key five times.
• Press the
LEFT and RIGHT NavKeys to move the cursor left and rght.
• Press the
ERASE softkey to backspace and delete a hghlghted character.
