VEGASON 54V … 56V

Setup - Adjustment with VEGAMET or MINICOM

Adjustment steps

On page 72 … 79 you can find the complete
menu schematic of the VEGAMET 515V si-
gnal conditioning instrument as well as of the
adjustment module MINICOM. The menu
schematic of the VEGAMET 514V signal
conditioning instrument is nearly identical. Set
up the sensor in the numbered sequence.
The respective numbers are stated in the
menu schematics. The items in brackets can
be adjusted beside the VEGAMET signal
conditioning instrument also with the adjust-
ment module MINICOM.

1.

Configuration of the input (as a rule, al-
ready preconfigured)

2.

(as a rule, already preconfigured)

play

Short explanations to the setup steps 1 … 11
follow.

1. Configuration of the input

First of all, you have to inform the signal con-
ditioning instrument (only VEGAMET 515V) to
which input (input 1 or 2) the sensor is con-
nected.

2. Configuration of the measurement
loop

(see menu schematic page 74)

3. Measurement in gases

Adjustment is only necessary when the
measurement is made in gases (Co

2

, He,

etc.) deviating from air. In case of measure-
ment in gases, sound the distance of the
sensor to the product surface and enter it in
the menu item "Measurement in gases“. The
sensor can then take the modified sonic
velocity in gases (as opposed to air) and
output correct levels.
