The EV-card (EV = input VBUS) powers up to
15 VBUS-sensors and processes their meas-
ured data:
- hydrostatic pressure transmitters
- ultrasonic sensors
- radar sensors

The digital communication between sensors
and the EV-card enables the connection of
different VBUS-sensors via common two-wire
line. This means that a transmission is avail-
able which is not only optimally adapted to
the conditions of the level measurement, but
also has increased immunity to interference.
In addition to the real transmission of meas-
ured values, it also enables the parameter
adjustment of the sensors via the signal con-
ditioning instrument from the control room
(local parameter adjustments are carried out
via the PC with VVO).

Separators

VEGATRENN 548V Ex

The separators are used for galvanic isola-
tion of the intrinsically safe from the not-intrin-
sically safe VBUS-measuring lines, and for
intrinsically safe supply and signal transmis-
sion of Ex-approved VBUS-sensors.
