Using the Selector Tool

Use the Selector tool to place the edit cursor in a
track or Timebase ruler, or to make Timeline se-
lections or Edit selections on tracks. For more in-
formation on making selections, also see
Chapter 24, “Making Selections.”

Placing the Edit Cursor

To place the edit cursor with the Selector tool:

Select the Selector tool in the Edit window.

Click the location in a track or on a Timebase

ruler.

Making an Edit Selection with the
Selector Tool

To make an Edit selection with the Selector tool:

Select the Selector tool in the Edit window.

Do one of the following:

• To make an Edit selection in a single track,

drag in the track.

• To make an Edit selection across multiple

tracks, drag across the tracks.

• If Link Timeline and Edit Selection is en-

abled, drag on the Timebase ruler to make
an Edit selection across all tracks.

To select an entire region with the Selector tool:

Select the Selector tool in the Edit window.

Double-click a region on a track.

To select an entire track with the Selector tool:

Select the Selector tool in the Edit window.

Triple-click in the track.

Select the Selector tool in the Edit window.

Do one of the following:

• Drag on a Timebase ruler.

abled, drag in a track.
