5.1 Time synchronization configuration screen
The configuration screen in Figure 5-1 can be accessed by an administrator by clicking on the
Maintenance submenu

Time Synchronization Settings group box
The clock icon opens the Windows ™ Date and Time Properties Applet.
Time Server Update group box
Unavailable if the IP address in the “Time Server” group box does not reference one of the
CPUs in the current lineup or if the Remote HMI software has been installed.
If the Update Server’s Time Every 12 Hours check box is checked then the HMI is
considered the “Master HMI” (see Figure 5-2) and will set the time on the CPU designated in
the “Time Server IP Address” according to the HMI’s date and time.
Update Now Button will immediately synchronize the CPUs time with the HMI PC.
Time Server Group Box
Time Server IP Address: (Defaulted to 0.0.0.0) Enter a SNTP time server IP address here.
Enable HMI Time Synchronization: When checked, the PC clock on the HMI will be
synchronized to the SNTP Timer Server designated in the “Time Server IP Address.”
Actual Time on Server: Only displayed when the “Time Server IP address” refers to a CPU in
the current lineup.
