8. DEVICENET ERROR HANDLING

Some DeviceNet errors are reported through the parameters DNetStatus, DNetStAux and DnetStUser. You must
be sure that these parameters are 0. These parameters usually are used only as debug parameters, during pro-
gramming. During normal operation, the Bricks program will need to check only the exit value of CFLX, RFIX
and WFIX in order to know if the actions required have been performed. See CFIX, RFIX and WFIX descrip-
tion. The Bricksprogram can decide to put the DGFC into the alarm state, by using the existing mechanism to
force the alarm on the Drive.

The only exception to this rule is when the DGFC is used as a communication only card. In this case when
communication fails the card is automatically placed in alarm state. The DGFC will need an Alarm Reset in
order to exit this state. When it is reset it is automatically replaced in RUN state by DeviceNet system software.
