Example 4b: Viewing ties (TPX 88 only)

The following steps show an example of viewing the ties in the current
configuration. Where an explanation is helpful, the steps show the front panel
indications that result from your action.

This example assumes that you have performed example 1, example 2, and
example 3b.

Press and release the Esc button.

Press and release the View button to enter view-only mode. The View LED
lights (figure 3-26).

The buttons for all untied outputs button light until you select an input.

The lit indications indicate the untied outputs after performing example 1, example 2, and example 3b.

Press the button to
select view mode.

The View LED lights when view mode is selected.

A tie can also be viewed by selecting a tied output. To demonstrate this, note
the number of an output button that is lit, and then press and release the
output button for an untied (unlit or background illumination) output.
Observe that all of the untied outputs light. Then press the output button
noted previously and observe that the selected output button and the tied input
button (input 5) light.
