Restrictions

Note the restrictions in the following table. When using software with an
Isochronous Resource Manager (IRM): deactivate it.

Operation

The maximum allowed isochronous packet size can be set separately for the ISO
speeds S400 and S800. Check the associated Presence_Inq flag to see for which
ISO speed this feature is available.

Setting the Set2Max flag to 1 sets the MaxIsoSize field to the maximum sup-
ported isochronous packet size. Use this flag to query the maximum supported
size (may depend on the camera model).

Enable this feature by setting the ON_OFF flag to 1 and the MaxIsoSize field to
a value greater than the default packet size.

The camera ensures:

that the value of the MaxIsoSize field is a multiple of 4.

that the value isn’t lower than the value specified by the IEEE1394 specifi-
cation.

The settings are stored in the user sets.

a write access to the desired Format_7 mode has been issued.
