NOTE: Replacement of the lithium battery in the Industrial Personal Computer other
than with the type specified in this documentation may present a risk of fire or
explosion.
Replacing the Fan
The fans help keep the Industrial Personal Computer from overheating. If necessary
to replace the fans, provide the fan kit (see page 161) and perform the following
procedure:
6 To make the next lithium battery change easier, be sure the removal strip is in place
when inserting lithium battery.
7 Reconnect the power supply to the Industrial Personal Computer (plug in power cable
and press power button).
8 You may need to reset the date and time in the BIOS settings.
WARNING
IMPROPER LITHIUM BATTERY CAN PROVOKE FIRE OR EXPLOSION
Replace lithium battery only with identical type: PFXZPSBTLT1.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury, or
equipment damage.

1 Disconnect the power supply to the Industrial Personal Computer.
2 Touch the housing or ground connection (not the power supply) to discharge any
electrostatic charge from your body.
