Hazardous Location Installations - For ATEX
The assembled units with an enclosure should be marked:
II 3D
Ex tc IIIA T92

POTENTIAL FOR EXPLOSION

Confirm that the location is free from explosively hazardous gases or dust
before connecting or disconnecting equipment, replacing or wiring modules.
z
The ambient temperature in protective enclosure must not exceed 50
°C (refer
to marking).
z
Mounted in to the category 3D enclosures according to the directive 94/9/EC for
atmosphere with dust.
z
Modules must be mounted into protective enclosure that provides at least the
following degree of protection:
z
IP54 for atmosphere with gas
z
IP6x for atmosphere with dust
z
Do not open the protective enclosure while the system is powered up.
z
Confirm that the power supply has been turned OFF before disconnecting,
replacing or wiring modules.
z
Ensure that the metal parts of component are properly connected to ground.
z
Use only screw fasteners suitable for installations in explosive atmospheres.
z
Do not use damaged equipment.
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
