Replacing the Fan Filter
The fan filters are subject to wear, and should be checked with appropriate
frequency to determine whether the air flow provides sufficient cooling. An exchange
or cleaning of the filters is appropriate at that time.
The following procedure describes how to replace the fan filters:
DANGER
HAZARD OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, EXPLOSION, OR ARC FLASH
Read and understand the safety information in the Regular Cleaning and
Maintenance section (see page 151) before attempting this procedure.
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
Step Action
1 Disconnect the power supply to the Industrial Personal Computer.
2 Touch the housing or ground connection (not the power supply) to discharge
any electrostatic charge from your body.
3 Insert slotted screwdriver and rotate as shown in the following figure:
This opens the fan cover locking mechanisms.
4 Rotate upward the fan cover out:
5 Replace the dust filter on the fan filter cover.
