7.6 Bottom Pipe Assembly

NOTE: Motor drive will attach to bottom pipe.
The bottom pipe is composed of 21 ft. (640 cm) sections that connect together with pop rivets.






1.

Lay bottom pipe sections on the ground end-to-end with the swedged end of one pipe section facing open
end of adjacent pipe section.

Connect pipe sections together by sliding the swedged end of one pipe section into open end of adjacent
pipe section. (NOTE: It might be necessary to take a hammer and straighten out the dimples which were
created when the pipe sections were cut). Attach the sections together by installing stainless steel pop
rivets as shown in diagram above and described below.

Pop rivet installation. Drill three 3/16 in. (0.48 cm) diameter holes through pipe joint. Space holes equally
around pipe. Insert pop rivets through these holes to fasten the pipe sections together.
