10-2 How to replace battery

#

DANGER

Never open the battery compartment cover while making measurement.

To avoid possible electric shock, disconnect the test lead and Power Adapter

from the instrument before replacing battery. After replacing batteries, make
sure to tighten up the screw for battery compartment cover.

WARNING

Always use 12V5Ah Lead acid battery PXL12050 or equivalent.

CAUTION

Install battery with correct polarity.

Followings may cause battery liquid leak, heating, explosion or damage to

Case resulting injury.

  

* short-circuiting the positive and negative terminals,

  

* putting close to fi re, or

  

* disassembly or modifi cation.

(1) Set the Range switch to “OFF” position, and remove the test leads and

power adapter from the instrument.

(2) Unscrew and slide to remove the battery compartment cover on the side face

of the instrument. (Match the arrow mark on the battery compartment cover
with the engraved “OPEN” on the instrument case.)

Attention should be paid not to lose screws.
