Operation

Step 1.
Select
Accounts

Select
accounts
to save
and/or
clear
based on
these
options.

By
Group

Choose By Group if an account
group has been defined with the
accounts selected to save/clear.
Pick the group from the drop-down
list. (Remember: the group name is
the setting name defined in the
Account Groups function.)

By
Route

Choose By Route if routes to
save/clear are sequential and do not
require use of an account group.
Enter the From and To text for the
range of routes.

By
Account

Choose By Account if accounts to
save/clear are sequential and do not
require use of an account group.
Enter the From and To text for the
desired range of accounts.

Option

Only Include Accounts Marked as
Sent

Only save/clear accounts where the
reading information has been written
to an output file for billing. If reading
information has been sent, the Sent
box in the account record will show a
check mark. If reading information
has not been sent, the Sent box in
the account record will not show a
check mark.

Step 2.

View Selected
Accounts

Click View Selected Accounts to see accounts that will be included. Verify
that the number of accounts matches what is expected.

Step 3.

Select Options

Save to History

Check this box to save current readings to the
READCENTER history.

Clear Previous
Reads

Check this box to clear previous reads for selected
accounts and mark the accounts ‘Unread’.

Delete Accounts

Check this box if no history is desired and no
information is being maintained within READCENTER
for the accounts. This option is used primarily for
accounts that do not require latitudes and longitudes
and where a unique, unchanging Account ID cannot
be provided by the billing system.

Step 4. Apply Options

Options are applied to
accounts that are
selected. (Note:
Perform the checks
described to the right
first.)

Check 1. Verify that selected accounts have been written to an output file
for billing. Any of the selected accounts not marked ‘Sent’ will be displayed.
Check 2. Verify that selected accounts have readings. Any of the selected
accounts with no readings will be displayed.
If one of the above conditions exists, a message box will report some
accounts have no readings and/or that some accounts have not been sent
for billing.

Note: Neither condition necessarily indicates a problem. You might be
aware that some accounts have no readings or have not been sent for
billing and proceed anyway. You might choose to proceed or cancel.
