TYRE PRESSURE CHECK

Engage the parking brake (3, Fig. D).

1.

Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (6, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.

The tyre pressure should be as follows:

Front tyres: 87 psi (6.0 Bar)

Rear tyres: 87 psi (6.0 Bar)

WARNING!
Please respect the recommended tyre pressure as stated in the relevant decals.
The manufacturer rating is based on standard drive speed and standard load rating, different from the actual
machine application.

PARKING BRAKE OPERATION CHECK

Engage the parking brake (3, Fig. D) and check it for proper operation. Check also that the brake operates in the same way on both
the front wheels. If adjustments are required, contact a Nilfi sk Service Center.

ENGINE OIL LEVEL CHECK

Engage the parking brake (3, Fig. D).

1.

Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (6, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.

2.

Let the engine cool down.

3.

Open the left front water tank (5, Fig. G) by disengaging the upper and lower fasteners (39 and 38) with an Allen wrench d.8.

4.

Check the oil level as shown in the Diesel Engine Manual.

5.

If necessary, top up by using oil of the same type. See Technical Data chapter.

6.

DIESEL ENGINE COOLANT LEVEL CHECK

Engage the parking brake (3, Fig. D).

1.

Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (6, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.

2.

Check that the coolant level in the expansion tank (1, Fig. G) is between the MIN and MAX marks (1 and 2, Fig. AB).

3.

If necessary, use the fi ller plug (3, Fig. AB) to top up. Use the same type of coolant or equivalent. See Technical Data chapter.

4.

MOVING PART LUBRICATION

Lubricate the moving parts by using the grease nipples marked by the relevant labels.
Grease quantity to be applied:

4 - 5 pumping, in case of a manual pump.

15 - 20 seconds of injection, in case of an air pump.


The lubricating points are:

Right and left side front leaf springs (1, Fig. AA)

Right and left side rear leaf springs (2, Fig. AA)

Pivot joint (3 and 4, Fig. AA)

Steering cylinder end (5, Fig. AA)

DUST CONTROL SYSTEM PUMP OIL LEVEL CHECK

Engage the parking brake (3, Fig. D).

1.

Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (6, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.

2.

Open the left front water tank (5, Fig. G) by disengaging the upper and lower fasteners (39 and 38) with an Allen wrench d.8.

3.

Use the level indicator (5, Fig. AD) to check that oil inside the dust control system pump (1) is nearly at the maximum level.

4.

If the indicator cannot be used, unscrew the fi ller plug (2, Fig. AD) and check that the oil level is between the MIN and MAX

If necessary, remove the plug (2, Fig. AD) and top up. For the type of oil to be used, see Technical Data chapter.
