Erasing one item in the
phonebook

Important:

Make sure that the unit is in standby
mode.

Press {PHONEBOOK}.

Select “View Records”, then press
{

MENU/SET}.

Press {V} or {^} to select the
desired item, then press {ERASE}.

To search for the item by initial,
see “Searching for a name by
initial” on page 33.

Select “Yes?”, then press {ERASE}
or {MENU/SET}.

To cancel, select “No?”, then press
{

MENU/SET}.

Press {PHONEBOOK} to return to
standby mode.

Erasing all items in the
phonebook

Important:

Make sure that the unit is in standby

Press {PHONEBOOK}.

Select “View Records”, then press
{

MENU/SET}.

Select “End Of List” by pressing
{^}

, then press {ERASE}.

Select “Yes?”, then press {ERASE}
or {MENU/SET}.

To cancel, select “No?”, then press

MENU/SET}.

Press {PHONEBOOK} to return to
standby mode.

Chain dial

This feature allows you to dial phone
numbers in the phonebook while you are
on a call. This feature can be used, for
example, to dial a calling card access
number or bank account PIN that you
have stored in the phonebook, without
having to dial manually.

During an outside call, press
{

PHONEBOOK}.

Select “View Records”, then press
{

MENU/SET}.

Press {V} or {^} to select the
desired item, then press
{

MENU/SET}.

Select “Dial”, then press
{

MENU/SET}.

Note:
L

When storing a calling card access
number and your PIN in the
phonebook as one phonebook item,
press {REDIAL/PAUSE} to add
pauses after the number and PIN as
necessary (see “PAUSE button (for
PBX/long distance service users)” on
page 26).

L

If you have rotary or pulse service, you
need to press {*} (TONE) before
pressing {PHONEBOOK} in step 1 to
change the dialing mode temporarily
to tone.
