Sensor Inputs
To protect your vehicle, the following sensor
inputs are provided with the system.
If a door is opened when the system is armed
the siren will be activated immediately.
The hood and trunk can be monitored along
with the doors. If the hood or trunk is
connected to the system and opened when
the system is armed or in the protected valet
mode, the siren will sound immediately.
The dual sector radar sensor detects any
type of mass movement inside the vehicle. If
there is movement by any large object, the
radar sensor will cause the siren to sound
immediately.
The dual stage impact sensor detects
vibrations caused by physical attacks on the
body of the vehicle. If the system detects a
light impact on the vehicle, the system will
warn those away to step away from the
vehicle. If the system detects a heavy impact
on the vehicle, the system will immediately
enter an alarming state.
An input for an additional sensor is provided.
This can be interfaced to additional sensors
such as the 8327 Electronic impact Sensor.
When a second radar sensor is connected to
this input, the system will protect two
separate areas (i.e. bed and cab of a pickup
truck) for increased coverage. In addition,
this second radar sensor can be turned on
and off as desired, allowing you to selectively
protect the secondary area.
If the ignition is turned on while the system is
armed, the siren will be activated immedi-
ately.
