Basic Operation
Two Car Operation
The SEC-8463 remote control transmitter is
capable of operating two separate, compat-
ible security systems. When selected for
either the first – second car, the SEC-8463
will allow full control of the features of that
particular security system without sacrificing
any outputs. This is very convenient for
households or businesses with two Alpine
Security Systems.
Remove the key from the ignition.
Press and hold the TX/PANIC and EXT1/
VALET buttons for at least 3 seconds to
change the car number.
Notes:
•
When the remote control is selected to
access a certain vehicle, it will continue to
access that vehicle until it is changed
again. In addition, when the battery is
replaced, the remote control will revert to
control the first vehicle.
• To determine if your second Alpine Digital
Remote Control Security System is
compatible for two car operation, please
consult your local authorized Alpine
dealer.
