3 Press NUMBER buttons to input the re-

gistered code number.

4 Click the joystick.

This enters the code number, and you can now

change the level.

# If you input an incorrect code number, the
icon

is displayed. Press CLEAR and input the

correct code number.
# If you forget your code number, refer to If you
forget your code number on this page.

5 Move the joystick left or right to select

the desired level.

6 Click the joystick.

The parental lock level is set.

Note

Pressing RETURN takes you back to the previous
display.

If you forget your code number

Refer to Changing the level on the previous

page, and press CLEAR 10 times. The regis-

tered code number is canceled, letting you

register a new one.

Setting remote control

code type

When the remote control operation switch is

set to DVD, changing the remote control code

type enables you to operate the Pioneer DVD

player by the supplied remote control. There

are three remote codes, code type A, code

type B and code type DVH. When using this

unit with a multi-DVD player (e.g. XDV-P9II),

select code A. When using this unit with a

DVD navigation unit, select code B. When

using this unit only, select code DVH.

1 Set the remote control selection switch

on the left side of the remote control to

the appropriate position with a pen tip or

other pointed instrument .

! If you select DVH mode, there is no need to

take the following procedure.

! If you select A/B mode, take the following

procedure and change the code type to the
appropriate type.

2 Press 7 and 0 on the remote control si-

multaneously to change the code type.

Initially, the code type is set to A. Each time

you press 7 and 0 simultaneously on the re-

mote control the code type switches between

A and B.
