7. Pull up on the Crotch Buckle and

the Shoulder Straps to CHECK they
are secure (Photo F). DO NOT use
the Toddler Car Seat if the Restraint
Harness does not feel secure, and
contact Orbit Baby.

8. To tighten the lap section of the

Restraint Harness, gently pull up on the
Shoulder Straps (Photo G).

9. To tighten the Shoulder Straps, slowly

pull the Adjuster Strap that hangs from
the front of the carseat, adjusting the
Restraint Harness snugly against the
child (Photo H).

11. CHECK again that the Restraint

Harness straps are not twisted.

12. CHECK that the Restraint Harness is

snug on shoulders and thighs (Photo
I). A snug strap should not allow
any slack. The straps should lie in
relatively straight lines without sagging.
They should not press on the child’s
fl esh or push the child’s body into an
unnatural position.

13. Proceed to page 80, “Adjust the

Restraint Harness to Fit Your Child,”
to determine whether your child fi ts in
the Restraint Harness properly and to
adjust if necessary.

To remove your child from the Toddler

Car Seat:

1. Loosen the Restraint Harness by

pressing and holding the Adjuster
Strap Lock, while pulling up on the
shoulder straps (Photo J).

2. Open the Chest Clip by squeezing the

Tabs and separating the two halves
(Photo K).

3. Unbuckle the Crotch Buckle by

pressing the Red button (Photo L).

3. For convenience, secure the Restraint

Harness to the sides with the side hook-
and-loop fastener dots and remove your
child.
