During a Logging event, the GEN3 ECU automatically logs fifty two (52) parameters (referred to as
Signals). After an event has been logged, hitting the letter “C” on the keyboard will open the “Replay
Configuration” screen above. Signals can be selected or de-selected then graphed. This feature allows
the user to control the number of parameters (Signals) displayed in a graph.

Naming Replays

Replays are named using the Logger Configuration window shown below. The system is set up this
way because the GEN3 system allows the user to record a Log (external) and Replay (internal) at the
same time. Allowing two different names to be assigned to the same logging event would be
problematic. Since Logging” is a base feature that exists in every GEN3 system sold, the name for
each data record has to be established within in the Logger Configuration. Once a default file name is
set, the ECU will automatically include number extensions for all subsequently saved files under the
same default file name. For example, a Replay file name Vegas2010 will record the first Replay as
Vegas2010_000. The second Replay of the day will be recorded, and automatically saved, as
Vegas2010_001

78. Upload Replay

Upload is the high-speed GEN3 ECU-to-PC data transfer process. When the Upload drop down is
selected a progress bar will open displaying the progress of the data being transferred.

All Logs & Replays are named using
the Logger Configuration window.
From the main tool bar go to Logging,
then Logger Configuration
