Using the Phone Book

You can use the Phone Book to store your contacts’ names, phone and fax
numbers, street and e-mail addresses, and more. You can also create a
group name, sort your Phone Book, and select graphics to help you
visually identify entries. You can even import information from other
databases into your Phone Book so that all your contact information is in
one place. You can use the Phone Book to automate dialing when placing
phone calls, sending data files, and sending faxes.

If you are using the Communication Center to send and receive e-mail,
the data from Microsoft Exchange/Windows Messaging Phone Book will
be displayed and used with the Communication Center’s Phone Book.

Therefore, if you add or change Phone Book entries, your Microsoft
Exchange/Windows Messaging Phone Book is also updated. If at any
time you decide not to use the Communication Center for e-mail, you will
be prompted to synchronize the two Phone Books. The synchronization
updates the data in the Communication Center Phone Book with the data
from Microsoft Exchange/Windows Messaging Phone Book.

^ Large Phone Books will take a long time to synchronize.
