Observation identifiers
Specify observation identifier labels for specific vital signs
In the HL7 Manager - Observation Identifier page, you can specify identifier labels used
for specific vital-sign readings.
To specify observation identifier labels for vital signs
1. Along the top of any WACS page, click Home. Click WACS Administrator. Click the
HL7 Manager tab.
The HL7 Manager page appears.
2. Along the left side of the page, click Observation Identifier.
The HL7 Manager - Observation Identifier page appears.
3. In the New Value column, specify your changes.
• Type in a field.
• Click a pull-down menu and make a selection.
If you want to discard the changes, click Reset.
4. Click Save Changes.
5. Reboot WACS. (For reboot instructions, see “Log out of the WACS program or reboot
WACS” on page 67.)
