Panel Layout
The ES8509-XT provides nine Gigabit ports:
• Four 10/100/1000BASE-TX RJ45 ports
• Five 10/100/1000BASE-TX RJ45 or 100BASE-FX Single-Mode/Multi-Mode and 1000 BASE-FX Single
Mode/Multi-Mode transceiver with SFP Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM)
Reset Button
The ES8509-XThas a reset button that you can use to reboot the ES8509-XT or reset the configuration to the
factory default.
The Reset button is located on the front panel of the ES8509-XT below the Console port.
Reset Button Description
Depress 5 Seconds
This reboots the ES8509-XT without changing the
configuration.
Depress > 10
Seconds This loads the factory default configuration values into the
ES8509-XT including the IP address.
