The current setting is indicated by blinking square brackets
[ ].
5. Press the [ ] or [ ] key to select [1], [2] or [3].
The Document Feed Tray moves to the selected height.
6. Press [Enter] to accept the selection.
7. Press the Stop key to exit the User Mode.
■ Closing the Document Feed Tray
To close the Document Feed Tray, lift it gently so that the
sides of the tray hook into the scanner body, then press it
in at both sides.
Hint
When power is switched OFF while the home position setting of
the Document Feed Tray is high, the tray moves to the lowest
position before the scanner turns OFF.
CAUTION
When the home position is set to high, make sure to turn the
power OFF before closing the tray. Closing the Document Feed
Tray while the scanner is ON may damage the scanner.
■ Document Guides
Unlock the document guides by gently pressing both sides
of either guide (a), and sliding the document guides to
match the width of your document (b).
Hint
The positions of the left and right document guides can also be
locked independently for off-center loading. For details, see
“Adjusting the Document Guides” (p. 3-8) .
