PROGRAMMED EDIT RECORDING

In the programmed edit recording function the tracks can be
programmed while checking the remaining time on each side of

the tape as the tracks are programmed.

NOTE

The programmed edit recording will not start from a point haifway

in the tape. The tape must be recorded on from the beginning of
either side.

Insert the tape into deck 2, and press DOLBY NR

to turn Dolby NR on or off.

insert the tape with the side to be recorded on first facing out

from the unit.

Press CD on the stereo receiver and load the

disc(s).

Press EDIT/CHECK on the remote control twice.

“EDIT” and “PRGM” are highlighted.
'• When “Al” is highlighted, press EDIT/CHECK again.

Press the numbered buttons on the remote

control to designate the tape length.

10 to 99 minutes can be specified.

» The ◄◄, ►► is aiso available to designate the tape iength.

6 Repeat step 5 for the rest of the tracks for side A.

A track whose playing time is longer than the remaining time
cannot be programmed.

7 Press EDIT/CHECK on the remote control to

select side B and program the tracks for side B.

After confirming “b” on the dispiay, repeat step 5.

Press #REC/REC MUTE to start recording.

The tape is rewound to the beginning of the front side, the

iead segment is piayed through for 10 seconds, and recording
starts. When recording on the front side (A) ends, recording
on the back side (B) starts.

To stop recording

Press BSTOP on the cassette deck or on the CD player (or

■ CLEAR on the remote control). Recording and CD play stop

simultaneously.

To clear the edit program

Press BSTOP twice on the CD player (or BCLEAR twice on

the remote control) in stop mode so that the highlighted indicator
“EDIT” on the display disappears.

To check the order of the programmed track numbers

In stop mode, press EDIT/CHECK on the remote control to select

a side, and press ◄◄ or ►► on the CD player repeatedly.

To change the program of each side

Press EDIT/CHECK on the remote control to select a side, and

press BSTOP on the CD player (or BCLEAR on the remote
control) to clear the program on the selected side. Then program
tracks again.

' Up to 30 tracks can be programmed from any of the inserted

discs.

■ Recording is inhibited if the erasure prevention tab on either

side of the tape is broken off.

Press DISC DIRECT PLAY 1-3 to select a disc.

Then, press the numbered buttons 0-9 and + 10
on the remote control to program a track.

Example: To select the 10th track of disc 2, press DISC
DIRECT PLAY 2, then press +10 and 0.
