SERVICE AND WARRANTY POLICY

LIMITED NINETY DAY WARRANTY
The Digital Sound Decoder is warranted by Throttle Up! to be operative and free of defects in materials and
workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days after original purchase date. Defective Digital Sound Decoders which
are received by Throttle Up! during the warranty period will be repaired or replaced free of charge at the option of
Throttle Up!

Exclusions
This warranty does not cover damage resulting from negligent installation, improper operation, over voltage or over
current damage, failure to follow instructions, misuse, unauthorized repairs or modifications, accidents, damage while
in transit to service location, fire, floods, and other acts of God.

Removing the protective shrink tubing from the decoder automatically voids your warranty.

Due to their fragile nature, onboard locomotive speakers are not covered by this warranty. Throttle Up! certifies the
speakers to be operational at time of sale. In the event a speaker is damaged, we will replace them free of charge if
the defective speaker is returned to the factory within five (5) days of purchase. Prevailing retail and shipping charges
will apply after the five day period.

Warranty Procedure
The product must be returned, postage prepaid and insured to the factory for repair. It is advisable to write or phone
the factory for advice before returning the product for service. Include name, street address (We cannot ship to P.O.
Boxes!), daytime phone number, and description of problem. After repairing product we will ship it to your home at no
cost to you.

Important!: Return only the Digital Sound Decoder. Under no circumstances should you send your locomotive (or
other model) to us as we cannot assume any liability for their safe return.

Limits of Liability
The foregoing shall constitute the sole and exclusive remedy of any owner of this product for breach of warranty
including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness. IN NO EVENT SHALL THROTTLE UP! BE LIABLE
FOR SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR FOR THE REPRESENTATIONS OF RETAIL SELLERS.

Non-Warranty Repairs
Digital Sound Decoders needing repairs after exceeding the warranty period or damaged during installation, will be
repaired at modest cost for parts and labor. Customer will be advised in writing or by telephone of any service
charges before work is begun. The product will be returned to the address specified with a C.O.D. charge for service,
shipping and handling.
