Instead, the pull-down lists are used to designate them as type “Direct”
sources.

In the example described here, the EAS video source would be designated
in the video column as source type “Direct-Key4 Fill;” this associates the
source with a specific rear-panel connector. The EAS audio source would
be designated in the audio columns as source type “Direct-Mix2.”

GPIO Definition Table

The “GPIO Definition” table is used to configure the GPIO ports on the rear
panel of the Maestro and identify the associated keyer and mixer. The table
is located in the Input/Output Sets group of the Maestro Configurator
(“4th Step”). See

When the GPIO Definition table is first opened, the editor will open a set
panel. Create a name for the GPIO table, then select “New.” (The table is
assigned to a Maestro channel using the Channel Setup table.)

Device Type

For the EAS application, select “MaestroGPI.”

Identifier

The numbers in this column refer to the 16 ports on the GPIO connector.
Any port from 1 to 16 can be selected in any order.

Trigger Type

“Level” is selected automatically when “MaestroGPI” is the device type.
