Make sure the camera is set to Program or Manual user
mode. (See page 1-10 for instructions.)

Turn the camera dial to

or .

If you are taking pictures using the viewfinder (with the
camera dial set to ), press the

MENU

button to see

the Viewfinder menu.

If you are taking pictures with the LCD screen, you see
the View menu with a preview of your image.

Do one of the following:

If the user mode is set to Program, press the button
under the

W/B

setting to select

FIX

or

CUST

(custom).

If the user mode is set to Manual, press the button
under

MENU CHANGE

. You see one of the

following screens. Press the button under the

W/B

setting to select

FIX

or

CUST

.

The white balance setting, which appears in the status
display panel next to the

W.B.

mark, remains in effect

until you turn off the camera.

NOTE

When nothing appears next to W.B. on the display panel, the

camera is in fixed white balance mode.
