Selecting the Output Format

About the Format Setting for RGB/Component and Composite Output

After setting the format for the main (digital) output, you can also carry out scaling. At the Output menu, select [RGB/Component]
or [Composite], and you can then turn the [VALUE] dial to set the output format.

* The format settings for analog outputs will not be shown by the [OUTPUT FORMAT] indicators.

About Color Correction for Output

Using the menus, you can apply color correction separately to the main outputs and to analog outputs. For information on the
details of menus and their items, download the “Reference Manual” from the following Roland website.

About the Output Formats of the Connectors

The V-800HD can output signals of the following formats from the various output connectors. But the output to the multi-view
monitor (the HDMI OUT connector) is fixed at 1920x1080/60 Hz.

The format you can select differs depending on the system frame rate of the V-800HD.

SDI OUT Connectors

480/59.94i, 576/50i, 720/50p, 720/59.94p, 1080/50i, 1080/59.94i, 1080/50p, 1080/59.94p

RGB/COMPONENT OUT Connectors

640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x768, 1280x1024, 1366x768, 1400x1050, 1600x1200, 1920x1200,
480/59.94p, 576/50p, 720/59.94p, 720/50p, 1080/59.94p, 1080/50p

* For switching of 59.94p and 50p, go to the System menu and use [Frame Rate] to select [59.94Hz] or [50Hz].

DVI-D/HDMI OUT Connectors

640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x768, 1280x1024, 1366x768, 1400x1050, 1600x1200, 1920x1200, 480/59.94i, 576/50i, 480/
59.94p, 576/50p, 720/59.94p, 720/50p, 1080/59.94i, 1080/50i, 1080/59.94p, 1080/50p

* The underlined formats are output at 75 Hz when the system refresh rate is set at 50 Hz.

SD OUT Connectors

480/59.94i, 576/50i

* Output from the SD OUT connector is always 480/59.94i or 576/50i, irrespective of the setting for output format.

About the Setting for the Output Source

On the V-800HD, you can select PGM, PVW, or AUX as the output source. Display the Output menu and select an output
connector. Then you can select [PGM], [PVW] or [AUX].

* Separate sources can be assigned to SDI OUT (1/2) and DVI/HDMI OUT (1/2), but the source for the RGB/COMPONENT OUT and COMPOSITE

OUT connectors will be changed simultaneously.
