Applying Transition Effects

Using the [AUTO] button, you can apply transition effects during video switching. The transition effects are applied according to
the settings of transition time and wipe pattern.

1.

Move the video fader all the way.

Before the transition, move the video fader all the way toward either the front or the back.

Set the transition time.

Turn the TRANSITION [TIME] dial to set the time for the transition effect.

* By default, the transition time is set at 1 second. When the unit is started for the first time, the indicator displays [1.0].

* You can also use the menus (p. 51) to select the unit of time display. You can select from seconds, frames or seconds + frames as the display

mode.

Select the transition effect.

Use the buttons in the WIPE PATTERN section to choose a transition effect.

• MIX

The transition is made progressively as the two pictures are mixed.

• WIPE 1 - 7

The transition is made using one of the following wipe patterns.

You can also use the menus (p. 51) to select a different pattern and the direction of the wipe.
